Hello All,
I just found this great forum and read lots of topics since yesterday. I discovered Grundig speakers four years ago and I addicted to their sound.
Now I have box 550, box 600, box 650b, minerva 6050, box 850, box 707, sl1000 speakers. Sometimes I had to wait for suitable replacement tweeter to revive some of them. But right now all of them working flawlessly..
But.. One thing bothers me a lot.. I don't have any idea if some of these boxes has reverse phase connected drivers or not.
I found one post for 850 crossover schematic and it shows tweeters are wired as reverse phase.
Anyone knows any other grundig speakers with reverse phased drivers?
Regards,
Sb.
Ps: sorry for English..
Reverse Phase Drivers?
Re: Reverse Phase Drivers?

Generally only the three and four ways Grundig have speakers with inverted phase and only tweeters have inverted phase, because the filter between midrange and tweeter is a 12dB/oct (then 180° phase displacement).

Re: Reverse Phase Drivers?
Thanks for the replies.
Ambrosini, is this a general rule for three and four way speakers?
I saw the box 850 crossover schematic and tweeters definitely reverse phase connected. Do you have other box schematics? 550,600 or 650?
Why I'm asking this; because every Grundig speaker that I acquire has somehow in phase connections for all drivers.. I will never know if someone messed up with internal wiring or not.
I'm just trying to make them as it supposed to be.

Yes, in the golden age of Grundig (see http://motxam.interfree.it/Agrundig.html )starbender ha scritto: ↑mer 24 ott 2018, 17:41Ambrosini, is this a general rule for three and four way speakers?
all two ways are in phase, 600 and 650 are three ways with tweeter inverted phase. It's simpleI saw the box 850 crossover schematic and tweeters definitely reverse phase connected. Do you have other box schematics? 550,600 or 650?
