Grundig V8400 MKII - Potential partial CCI?

Hi everybody!
I wanted to share a new find.

I bought V8400MKII cheaply for use in my restaurant, since it had enough power and 4 outs with 2 extra surround outs.. I thought that I can't go wrong with Grundig since they are reliable and - well, I'm yet to hear one that doesn't sound excellent. However, since it belongs to late 80s (1989.) I didn't expect much to be honest..

I must say that I was quite surprised when I connected it to my SL1000s. Sound was typical Grundig.
Crystally-clear soundstage, transparent, detailed and harmonically rich.
It sure isn't playing on level of V1700 or V7000 - it lacks some of that airiness, but i would put it somewhere slightly above V4200 with traces of robust V7500 sound character.

Chassis is similar to that of V7500 both in construction and material.
Since I don't know much about CCI I'm sharing photo of gut-shoot for evaluation.

Might be that sl1000 are just that good and create 3d imaging from any source :P
Too bad. I hoped it would be a good discovery.
But still, amplifier sounds suprisingly good.
Neutral, detailed with good imaging.
Guests in restaurant will now have good sound with v8400 and vintage ITT speakers. Thank you for reply.
